XIMENA FONT OF THE VALL. The Route of the Artisans.
Without a doubt, an ancestral calling seals Ximena's talent and craft. He was only 9 years old when, in his grandmother Carmen's house in Marchigüe, he was struck by the fact that her classic and large furniture had hanging cloths, or the table cloth, the edges of the sheets, he loved their textures, its forms, its design. He asked his grandmother, whom he saw weaving day by day, why weren't they made of cloth? And she replied: "They are relics that your great-grandmother Jovita wove." Since then, something shook her, she saw herself make those fabrics. His mother taught him the first steps and his first job was a chain with wool and threads that he got from various places starting with an ancient tradition that, until today, he has never left aside. She weaves and weaves, and as she does so, her mind wanders to a world of colors and shapes, much inspired by her great-grandmother Jovita.
